What my thesis is on… I love this book and love Thomas Hardy, but holy crap this is not something to read on a rainy day. I always get super depressed right after reading it and it’s a hard thing to shake. Now I’m doing a big project on it, it’s even more difficult to get rid of the feeling of the “uselessness of it all.” Still. It’s fantastically written and you can’t help but react. I’d love to bring him back to life and pick his brain.
